The Dumbest Thing I've Ever Done in Game Development + Update 0.2


I got all the necessary pieces to make more levels, and then suddenly my new worst enemy appeared.  It was demonic - the Unity UI system.

Then after 6 days, I was able to defeat it, harnessing the powers of forums.

Anyway the bug is gone now, which means I'm finally free to work on the player sprite, the energy bar, more polish and more content in general.


The little changes I've done this patch are:

  • Fixed a bug where pressing the space bar would advance one scene 
  • Fixed a bug where falling would cost energy
  • Fixed a bug where phe biscuits would propel you in the air with infinite velocity 
  • Fixed a bug where phe biscuits would remove the energy bar entirely from the screen
  • Increased the natural regeneration speed for the energy bar
  • Increased the energy bar cost for walking

Bigger changes:

  • Added the framework for more levels
  • A second level has been added

Changes I'm working on:

  • A bug where jumping into a wall would stick the character to the wall
  • Changes to the player collider
  • Changes to the look of the supplement
  • MORE LEVELS!

Changes I'm considering:

  • Double jump or even triple jump
  • Spikes that kill you
  • Patrolling enemies
